The tale of the aadha gullab jamun-3

Well, I had cleared JEE with AIR 33 and I was quite content with that... There was a long break that followed and I was happy to idle away my time, teaching few kids, watching TV, etc, etc.
I soon received the final call.. I had to join IIT Delhi in about a week's time... Now, the feeling I had when I held that piece (rather bundle) of paper(s) surprised me. I had surely wanted to be there and I had worked quite hard for this, but I was not happy or I was afraid. Perhaps, it was because I find it difficult to adjust to new places or because I had read 'Five Point Someone' that strengthened my fears about ragging or due to some other reason I could not think of. But yes one thing I am sure about is that the feeling I had with the letter in my hand was not happiness.
Also, I had all sorts of questions in my mind. How'll my room be? Will it have a Water cooler? Will I get a single room? How will the teaching environment be? and a lot more.. These questions had to be answered soon...
But the most important concern for me was to avoid ragging. From then on, any IIT'ian I met was posed this question. And their answers almost always heightened my fears... Let's see some of them..
1) A senior Ph D of our hostel on the first day: "Yaar thodi bahut masti to hoti hi hai, par jyada ragging nahi hogi"
2) General Advice: Never go to a senior's room even if they call you...
3)An anti-ragging video was shown to us: where seniors asked freshers to remove their clothes.
4) Rohan Anand, a senior then... a friend now : ' Yaar tujhe Haryana mein rahkar gaali deni bhi nahi aati.. seekh jayega thode din mein.."
5) Kartik Bansal, classmate @ IITD: "Yaar BITS mein to bahut ragging hoti thi, yahan ka pata nahin".
6)Anuj Kalia, room mate: "Agar senior shirt utaarne ko bole, to utaar diyo, pange mat liyo".

Yaar ye sab sunke, kaun nahi darega...? What really happened????? I'll tell you tomorrow...
