I had promised I would write a post titled “Why Abhishek Gupta can’t have a girlfriend?” on Sunday, but several other commitments had to be honored and the delay became inevitable. Besides, I had no real intentions of writing the post. But given frequent accusations of being lazy and a fresher writing the same post left me searching for reasons. The thought process was exponentiated by an fb ping from a person I had hardly known, but met just once. She was quite eager to see the post written. She was as close to Abhishek as anyone could get, yet she was interested in the post. She willingly gave me personal details about Abhishek so as to help me write the post. I do not want to leave you guessing. She was Abhishek’s cousin sister who has been at IITD for the past few months as a project trainee from Banasthali University, Rajasthan.
Now, while she wanted the post to be hilarious, the reasons she gave me just showed how close she was to Abhishek, and how she would miss the exciting time spent here once she would leave. She would still be close to him, but obviously, things would be different. She wanted the post written before she leaves on 4th May, but she knows I have majors. Majors have to wait for I have to write this post. Perhaps Abhishek would write a blog post on her departure, perhaps he would give her a farewell present and /or treat. But those things should wait. Here was a sister waiting to express her thoughts, I proposed a combined post. She said she doesn’t write well. Even I don’t. But I had to convey her feelings. Lots of love in every sentence she spoke. She writes well, I must say. I am confused whether I must quote her exactly. Wouldn’t that be a violation of trust? But any addition/deletion from my side might dilute the feelings. So here is what she had to say. This has been copied from fb chat, so formatting is really bad, but I saw the feelings, you will see them too.

@Shruti di: I am sorry, you wanted me to give better words to your thoughts. I couldn’t find any. Sorry for making this conversation public. I failed your trust in that I was a better writer than you were. Sorry! once again.
